Samuel Chewning, Jr., M.D., Joins Our Team

Orthopaedic spine surgeon Samuel Chewning, Jr., M.D.
Orthopaedic spine surgeon Samuel Chewning, Jr., M.D., has joined Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates at our Huntersville and Concord offices. Dr. Chewning began practicing in Charlotte in 1984 and most recently practiced in Statesville. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and his special interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, treatment of spinal trauma, spinal tumors and degenerative spine disorders, as well as non-operative and operative care of children with scoliosis.

“I’m eager to join a respected practice and innovative group of physicians who offer such comprehensive diagnostic, surgical and non-surgical expertise for patients,” said Dr. Chewning.

In 2008, Dr. Chewning was named to Business North Carolina magazine’s Best Doctors list. He is also on the NC-1 DMAT (disaster medical assistance team) that is part of the Federal emergency management program providing medical assistance to disaster victims.
